Today is probably the most relaxing day Kaydi and Garrett have had since Gibson was born. They spent he night at the Ronald McDonald's House and had a real good sleep. Kaydi looks great and seems to get better each hour. She is not quite ready to walk to the hospital (fairly steep hike from So. Temple to PCMC) but definitely ready to leave the hospital bed. They visited with Gibson this morning and at about 11:30 this morning, Garrett sent a text, "Eyes are open!! So cute! Can't tell a color, though". Another great hurdle. Another great sign. Everyone is aware that this will be a long series of obstacles and decisions and high times and down times. This is a high time.

ReplyDeleteHe is so beautiful! Glad to hear Kaydi is feeling well! She has been working hard for 9 months :) You too Garrett ( lots of mental work for the new dad). Cool that Gibson had his eyes open. He is very aware of what is going on~I have no doubt. Be strong and of good courage!
